I’ll never forget the day I came down to London to audition for the Stranglers in 2000…He was standing on the platform at Newcastle station going off somewhere too, and when he asked where I was going and I told him, his face lit up and he pumped my hand up and down so much in his wishes of good luck…his big bear handshake almost causing my arm to come out of it’s socket…
I’ll never forget that…
