Recorded in Brussels with producer Laurie Latham behind the desk, the album saw the introduction of a three piece brass section and backing singers to expand the aural possibilities. The album provided a distinctly poppier sound and was a sonic shift change from it’s predecessor Feline. Many fans welcomed tracks like Souls and North Winds as instant classics. Although the album was released in November, the band chose to delay touring in support of the release until the following February when they took the brass section with them for the first time. Three singles were released from the album, firstly Skin Deep, then No Mercy and finally Let Me Down Easy.
